Inter-school Hockey Competition

Congratulations to the Hockey teams for a great improvement in performance at the inter-school competition!

The competition was held at Henderson High School on Tuesday the 9th of August.

Our Boys team won 2 games, drew one and lost one and our Girls team won one game drew two and lost one.

For many of us this was the first time being involved in a hockey competition so we defiantly learnt a lot and were able to take some valuable skills away from our experience.

All in all the day was a great success!

Team certificates will be awarded at the whole school assembly on Friday the 26th of August at 9:10am so it would be great to see you there in supporting our up and coming sports stars.

Digital Citizenship

The seniors have been learning about digital citizenship and what makes a good digital citizen.

Room 18 have made a video that identifies the 3 values (protect, respect and ownership) and some helpful pointers about writing quality comments.

Sit back relax and enjoy. J

The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz

During Term 2 our Middle and Senior Syndicate students were involved in the Wizard of Oz Production.
The production was a great success!
After a long hard term all the effort paid off and the show was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

For those people who unfortunately could not make it to the show or loved it so much they want to watch it from the comfort of their own homes… The production was videoed, copies are available and can be purchased from the office for $10.

Thank you to everyone for your support.

Inter-school Cross Country

The inter-school cross country team headed to Konini Primary School to compete against long-distance runners from nine other schools. Our team set their own personal goals before tackling the gnarly course with determination. The 8 and 9 years olds faced ‘the dreaded hill’ as did the 10 year olds, with the added bonus of the bush loop. The following athletes finished in the top twenty and deserve special mention:
Xavion Aluesi (19th), Kyra Wills (13th), Amelia Hurrell (19th) and Grady Nikoia.

We really enjoyed the support of our St Leonards Road families.

Summer swimming with the Waterhole instructors has been a BLAST!
As New Zealand is a country surrounded by water, learning to swim is such an important life skill! We have been very lucky to have the awesome swim instructors from Waterhole Swimming Centre to help us develop the skills to swim confidently and safety.
